New First Responders!

The Fort William First Nation First Response Team has completed another training course for our second wave of First Responders!

The training covered a total of 2 weekends or 6 full days which included Standard First Aid Level C, BLS, Ministry of Health EFR, Compassion Fatigue and more additional training that qualify our First Responders to serve the community and respond to emergency medical calls to assist community members in medical distress.

The newly graduated First Responders will be going through additional training to ensure they are fully prepared to respond to emergency calls within the community over the upcoming days! Community members who dial 911 may now see 7 new First Responders arriving to assist you prior to an ambulances arrival!
